The high-end road bike market has somewhat slowed in recent years while the aluminum, which have highly evolved in terms of quality, gained in popularity by consumers. Last year, wisconsin company Trek bicycles introduced the Domane ALR, an aluminum version of its award-winning carbon endurance road bike, Domane.
This year, Trek greatly drops the entry price of its endurance road bikes with the introduction of the Domane AL 3, available in both men's and women's versions. Built around the same design as the Domane, that is to say a higher position (which will probably appeal to beginners) and wider tires, the Domane AL gets an aluminum frame of series ALPHA 100, unlike a 200 series for the Domane ALR.
